Cartoon Rap

News

I’m very excited about my latest spoon-related project. I’ve just finished a small collection of stories about my childhood up to age ten. Each of these stories shows something of the early influences on my development as a craft artist — especially my relationship to my materials. The book will be available on this website and also at the League of NH Craftsmen’s Annual Fair at Mount Sunapee in August. I’m planning to read some of it on my YouTube channel (see link above). I’d welcome your feedback!

Other than that, life goes on — mostly quietly, but sometimes in a rush. I’m still making spoons every day. In between times, I’m playing the flute, reading and mowing the field. Missy and I hope you are all well. Stay in touch and buy spoons!

Testimonials

Beauty, remarkable craftsmanship, useful and fun. I use them often. Thank you for your wonderful work. – Marnie ** // **    I eat my lunch with your spoon every day. I bought it from you – it must be seven years ago – it’s still as good as new. -- Stephen ** // **    I really treasure the spoons I purchased from you. I have one that looks like a bird! – Pinetree ** // **    They are the Best spoons (and forks and chopsticks, etc.) in the whole wide world. – Susan ** // **    I had always assumed that “designing from nature” meant to take one’s inspiration from natural forms. I had not considered direct response to natural forms working within the material. Thank you! – Dennis ** // **    I have a most beautiful collection of your spoons, pendants, chopsticks, and hair pins. I'm so glad you and your carving talents are in my life. -- Leigh ** // **
