News

I was just reading over my last News entry for this website which was written in July, 2025. What a change from hot and steamy to frigid cold! We have a bit of snow and some days are bright and sunny, with a blue, blue sky. Once you settle into it, it really is a beautiful time of year!

I’m trying something a bit different this holiday season: I’ve opened a pop-up store in my barn. So far, we’ve had a total of six visitors in five days. I don’t think we’ll be taking that vacation to Aruba, but it has been fun to meet neighbors – new and old – and also to sell some spoons, which is always a pleasure. The road leading to our house is lined with “Burma Shave” signs. The first says “Simplify your Christmas.” The second reads “Give ‘em all spoons.” Shameless promotion, I know. The last, next to our driveway, says “Just pull in and dial,” with a big red arrow. If nothing else it gives people going by a good laugh.

I am now 79 years old, making spoons every day and feeling good about the future. I hope you’ll considering gifting one or two to those you love, or adding to your own collection. They are truly wonderful spoons and you’ll be glad you did. If you don’t find anything here on the website that suits you, feel free to give us a call at 603-746-5683, and we’ll help you find just the right one.

Best wishes for a very Happy New Year!

Testimonials

Beauty, remarkable craftsmanship, useful and fun. I use them often. Thank you for your wonderful work. – Marnie ** // **    I eat my lunch with your spoon every day. I bought it from you – it must be seven years ago – it’s still as good as new. -- Stephen ** // **    I really treasure the spoons I purchased from you. I have one that looks like a bird! – Pinetree ** // **    They are the Best spoons (and forks and chopsticks, etc.) in the whole wide world. – Susan ** // **    I had always assumed that “designing from nature” meant to take one’s inspiration from natural forms. I had not considered direct response to natural forms working within the material. Thank you! – Dennis ** // **    I have a most beautiful collection of your spoons, pendants, chopsticks, and hair pins. I'm so glad you and your carving talents are in my life. -- Leigh ** // **
